A brief introduction to the technology of Zequr

The main purpose of Zequr is to provide Internet users with a tool that makes it EASY, FAST and SECURE to access their various websites without the hassle of having to memorize and enter login information. Zequr combines several inventive technologies – here are just two of them:

1: The Zequr color card. This virtual keyboard makes it easy for you to log in to your Zequr account from computers and smart phones.

2: Zequr’s specially developed encryption technology provides an extremely high level of security as it strongly encrypts your data. As long as you comply with a few, simple rules, no one will have access to your data.

The main principles behind Zequr
The Zequr color card consists of 6 x 6 fields which function as a virtual alphanumeric keyboard. The color card comes in three different designs and you can choose the one you prefer. Then you select a personal and secret pattern on your preferred color card. Your pattern should be easy to remember, as from now on it becomes the MASTER KEY to all your websites.

You can choose a geometrical pattern, a pattern that reminds you of something, or whatever you prefer. The colors of the fields are only there as an aid to help you remember your pattern. You can also utilize the letters and/or digits on the color cards to help you remember your pattern.   

You select your secret Zequr pattern by clicking on the keys of the color card with your mouse. The longer your pattern is, the stronger it is. To illustrate how difficult it is to guess your Zequr pattern, if your pattern consists of just six keys, there will be more than six billion possible patterns on the three color cards. 

If a wrong pattern is entered five times in a row, Zequr automatically locks the account. Zequr then sends an email to you with a link allowing you to unlock your Zequr account. 

IMPORTANT: ZEQUR DOES NOT KNOW YOU PATTERN!
Your secret Zequr pattern becomes the master key to all your web accounts. To ensure top level security, we have developed a technology that does not allow your pattern to be stored anywhere, neither on your own computer or smart phone nor on any of the Zequr servers. Your personal pattern will only exist in your brain and if you forget your pattern Zequr can NOT reconstruct it for you!  

You can opt to print out your Zequr pattern as well as your different passwords by selecting ”Print” in the Zequr main menu. If you do so, we highly recommend that you keep the printout in a safe place to prevent unauthorized access to your web accounts.

Your secret pattern will be utilized for encrypting the codes to your various websites. Zequr uses among others SHA-512 and Rijndael encryption algorithm; the encrypted data are stored on the Zequr secure servers. Zequr stores no data on your computer or smart phone. This means that you do not risk losing your codes even if your computer or smart phone is stolen or malfunctions. No one can gain unauthorized access to your codes from your computer or smart phone.
 
No one can decrypt your data without your secret pattern – not even Zequr. Only you have your secret pattern – you keep it safe in your brain.

Zequr gives you one master key to all your web accounts.  With just a few mouse clicks or a few taps on your smart phone, you have access to your web accounts - no matter where you are!  And it’s all completely free of the hassle of memorizing and entering complicated codes.

When you want access to one of your websites you select it from the Zequr list. Then Zequr will decrypt your data and fill in the required codes on the login page. All this happens automatically, and all that is left for you to do is to click on the login button on the website.
