How to get started using the Zequr Password Pilot First download and install Zequr on your computer. It's a small program and very easy to install. Click the link “Download” and follow the instructions.
Create a Zequr account When Zequr has been installed on your computer a Zequr toolbar will appear in your browser.
Fig.1 Zequr toolbar in Firefox Start by creating a Zequr account. Select “Create Zequr account” in the main menu and follow the instructions. It’s easy and fast.

Choose a username for your Zequr account, you can choose any username you like provided it is not already being used by another Zequr user.
The next step is different from what you are used to. Instead of a traditional password Zequr uses a pattern on a color card. Select the one of the three color cards you prefer by clicking it.

Once you have selected a color card, choose a secret pattern that you can easily remember. For security reasons your pattern must consist of at least four fields. The more fields you choose, the stronger your pattern will be.
Select your pattern on the Zequr color card by clicking its fields with your mouse.
IMPORTANT: It is VERY important to select a pattern you can easily remember. The pattern will not be stored or saved anywhere, neither at Zequr nor on your computer, it's only in your mind. You may write it down but if you do so, store it in a safe place to prevent any unauthorized access to your web accounts!
The color cards are virtual keyboards containing all letters and digits. A virtual keyboard is safer to use than a physical keyboard, and to increase your security even further, every time you open a Zequr color card it will be displayed randomly on the screen.
Log in to Zequr
Once you have created a Zequr account, you log in by clicking ”Log in to Zequr” in the main menu or by clicking the icon to the right in the Zequr toolbar.

For security reasons Zequr will log you out automatically after twenty minutes of inactivity. Under ”Zequr preferences” you can adjust the automatic log out time.
In the main menu you can select different options. If you hold your mouse over the options you can read a short description of the function. Furthermore, easy help texts will guide you through all procedures.
Add your websites to Zequr
To add a website to Zequr you must be logged in to Zequr. Then go to the website and log in as you normally do. Zequr will then automatically open a window and ask you if you would like Zequr to manage your login codes to the website. Check the data Zequr has registered, change them if necessary and finish by clicking “Add website”. Then the website will be added to your Zequr list. Repeat the procedure for all the websites you wish to add to Zequr.

The next time you want to log in to the website, all you have to do is select it from the list. Zequr will then open the login page and automatically insert your login codes.
(5% of websites must be added manually. Do this: open the websites login page, select "Add website manually to Zequr" in the main menu and follow instructions)
Rock solid login codes protect your private data
As a Zequr user you no longer have to worry about remembering your login information. So now you can choose to protect your private data on Facebook, Gmail, Twitter etc. with rock solid passwords such as:

A password like that has approximately 700.000 BILLION different combinations protecting your private data on a professional level.
VERY IMPORTANT! For security reasons Zequr does NOT store the login codes to your websites in clear text, but only as encrypted data no one can read, not even Zequr. Your encrypted data will be decrypted locally on your computer when you enter your secret Zequr pattern.
It is of utmost importance to understand, that for security reasons your secret Zequr pattern is NOT stored on the Zequr servers, your computer, or your smart phone. If you forget your secret Zequr pattern, Zequr cannot help you and you will lose all your data stored at Zequr.
You might choose to print your codes by selecting “Print” in the main menu, and then store the hard copy in a safe place as back-up.
Updates
Since we continue to improve and expand our services, we encourage you to update your Zequr Password Pilot regularly. It only takes a minute and ensures that you always have the newest and most efficient protection of your important data.
Zequr values and respects your privacy. We do not share your email address or your personal data with others, and if, at any given time, you cancel your Zequr account, all of your data will be deleted from the Zequr servers.
